Is my pet safe?
Yes! Trust and safety are our top priorities. Our walkers and sitters are passionate animal lovers with a serious dedication to safety and well-being. Each animal is treated with the same love and respect that we would extend to our own pets.
Is my home safe?
Absolutely. The Kearny Dog Walker is committed to creating a community pet owners can trust. TKDW is fully bonded so your home and belongings are protected when you book any service.
How do I know if the walker or sitter actually came for the visit?
All walks are GPS tracked and time stamped, while all sittings are time stamped. After each visit, you will receive an emailed report card, which includes a recap of the visit, complete with pictures.
Are off leash dog walks or exercise activities available?
All TKDW walks are on-leash, unless specifically request otherwise. Any off-leash activities, ie. dog run, dog park, are provided exclusively at the owner's risk, as The Kearny Dog Walker's insurance policy does not cover these off-leash activities.

Why should I have In-Home Care instead of kennel boarding?
Pets can get stressed when the owner is away from home. Your pet will remain in their secure environment, following their daily routine which leads to lower stress levels. Additionally, your pet will not be exposed to illness of other animals as they would be subjected to in a kennel. Most importantly, your pet will receive lots of love and personalized attention while you are away.
What will you do during In-Home Care?
Our pet sitting visits include: Feeding per your instructions, fresh water, dogs walked, love and play time, medication administered if needed, mail and newspaper brought in, plants watered, lights switched on and off.
How do you manage keys?
The Kearny Dog Walker uses a secure key lockbox to allow our walkers access to your home. We will provide key lockboxes throughout the duration of service, and are also yours to keep for $20, or you may use your own lockbox.
Lockboxes are preferred for a number of reasons; most importantly, that your key is much safer in a locked box on your property than in your pet sitter’s car or home.
What is your cancellation policy?
Unless due to inclement weather, all services cancelled same day will be subject to a $10 cancellation fee.
